Got Friends?

I stumbled across this blog, http://mwfseekingbff.com/about/ a few months ago in which a lovely young woman named Rachel writes about her ongoing quest for a new Best Friend Forever in her new city of Chicago. Sure, she's got friends.  Lots of us gals have friends.  But how many of us have the kind of friend we can call at the drop of a hat for no good reason other than it's Wednesday?  I don't and for years have secretly wished that I had.  Thanks to Rachel laying it all out there, my secret's out, too, and I soon realized while reading her blog that there are a whole lot of us out there longing for a true-blue-be-there-anytime-of-the-day-or-night BFF. 

Since today is Rachel's birthday, she has asked her readers to direct one or two people over to her blog so we can help spread the love and share the joy and pain of all things friend related.  So here I am, sharing this with you guys, my PNN pals.

Really, I should have done this sooner, as I know I'm not the only PNNer in this particular quandary.  I think you'll find, as I have, Rachel's posts are intriguing and relatable.  Lots of times, I find myself saying out loud, "Yeah, me, too!!"  She's made me think long and hard about some of my past friendships and where/how/why they ended, while we all ponder how to go about making new real-deal friends, which for some crazy reason is darned difficult passed the age of elementary school.
